South Florida Symphony Orchestra @ the Josephine S. Leiser Opera Center
Description
"The orchestra is as good as any I have heard in America or Europe-- wonderful sheen from the strings, incisive playing from the brass, and liquid woodwond sounds. The young soloist, Clancy Newman, gave a jaw-dropping performance of Samuel Barber's Cello concerto, and gave a well-deserved encore"- Sun-Sentinel.
For Symphony fans and quite surely, for the betterment of our community, the South Florida Symphony is noteworthy. As patrons enter the auditoriums for each of our performances we just can’t get enough of the excitement surrounding us. With our spectacular concerts, special events, limited edition recordings and more...the South Florida Symphony is sizzling! This season brings many milestones. We have expanded our regional performances while featuring truly world class artists. We begin each Master Concert Series in Key West (Tenessee Williams Theatre), then tour to Fort Lauderdale (the Broward Center for the Performing Arts) and finally Delray Beach (Old School Square Cultural Arts Center).
Here at the Leiser, we have developed a unique Summer Chamber Music Series for classical music fans to enjoy.
