The Moore Building at The Miami Design Disctrict

Visiting the museum of natural history packed with dinosaurs, planets and big animals is always fun, but getting to sleepover can be an adventure of a lifetime. The Miami Symphony Orchestra, under the leadership of Music Director and Conductor Eduardo Marturet, is very excited to host “Sleepover at the Museum” on Sunday, February 24th at 6pm at The Moore Building - Elastika, under the impressive sculpture designed by architect Zaha Hadid in The Miami Design District, and would like to invite all members of the family to join us.

Based on the children’s story written by creative New Yorker author and composer Karen LeFrak, "Sleepover at the Museum" manages to recreate the narrative through a magical representation. LeFrak is also the author of books: “Jake the Philharmonic Dog” and “Jake the Ballet Dog” and an avid dog lover and breeder as well as a composer of music for ballets and instrumental works around the world.

“Sleepover at the Museum” is a MISO commission and fifth world premiere by Karen LeFrak that will be conducted by Maestro Eduardo Marturet and narrated by actress and fashion icon Athina Marturet. With Daniel Andai as soloist and music by Sibelius – Finlandia and Barber – Violin Concerto Op.14 as part of the program, this story full of mystery, excitement, and fantasy is a must-attend and unique event for all the family.
